Method note · measured
The generation mix
What it measures
How much electricity each of the site's fuel groups generated in the zone over an average local hour of the day, in gigawatts.
Inputs
- ENTSO-E actual generation per production type for the bidding zone selected on the view, hourly
Method and weighting
Each of ENTSO-E's production types is mapped onto one of the site's fuel groups, the same list on every view, and every type that maps to the same fuel is summed into a single series for that fuel.
Only generation counts; the pumped-storage plant's own consumption while it pumps water uphill is left out of the mix entirely.
The average day is the mean generation for each local hour of the day, for each fuel, converted to gigawatts. An hour with no data for a fuel stays empty.
Window
The rolling 12 months to the last complete day, refreshed on the 1st and 15th of each month. The current window runs from to . Data last refreshed on .
Known limits
- A fuel the zone does not report is absent from its mix, and the mix says nothing about electricity imported from or exported to other zones.
