Charging Network

Germany's public charge points — how many there are, how fast they charge, who runs them, and where they cluster.

As of 28 July 2026, Germany's public charging network held 207 179 charge points across 115 411 stations, together about 8.9 GW of simultaneous rated power — the points listed in the Bundesnetzagentur's Ladesäulenregister.

Fast charging above 22 kW accounts for 53 279 of those points, roughly 26%; the rest are normal points at 22 kW or below.

The largest operator is EnBW with 12 096 points, and the network leans west and south — Nordrhein-Westfalen alone holds 40 862.

Public charge points only; the real network is larger.
