Charging Network

Germany's public charge points — how many there are, how fast they charge, who runs them, and where they cluster.

As of 7 July 2026, Germany's public charging network held 204 038 charge points across 113 364 stations, together about 8.8 GW of simultaneous rated power — the points listed in the Bundesnetzagentur's Ladesäulenregister.

Fast charging above 22 kW accounts for 52 231 of those points, roughly 26%; the rest are normal points at 22 kW or below.

The largest operator is EnBW with 11 992 points, and the network leans west and south — Nordrhein-Westfalen alone holds 40 241.

Public charge points only; the real network is larger.
